FAQ

David Damjanovic

WHAT IS BXEL.NET?
bxel.net is a site, a photo-project of David Damjanovic, a young photographer from Düsseldorf, Germany, 80 kilometers from Belgium (Maaseik, by car).

BXEL WHAT?
BXL (Bruxelles) + BEL (Belgique) = BXEL

SALES OF PHOTOS?
No. But if you live in Germany or Austria, from June 2007 on you can order prints of some images here:

www.belgien-postershop.de

Outside from Germany and Austria I actually do not sell prints, sorry. I co-operate with PosterXXL, a company which receives the whole order, and prints and dispatches for me. PosterXXL dispatches only to Germany and Austria.

WHY ALL THAT?
In 1995 I traveled to Brussels first time - it was big big love at the first sight. Since then I constantly travel to Belgium, by bus, train or rarely by car, and discover also other cities, which I all love... but Brussels is my place.
I started to photograph in Brussels 1998, where photographing became my passion.
A photographer wants to share his photos, so a photoblog is the best thing.

WHY SUBWAY?
The Brussels subway ist full of art and very interesting. So I wanted to collect all stations on my site.

WHERE IN BELGIUM?
In Belgium I visited already: Antwerpen, Blankenberge, Brugge, Bruxelles, Coo, Damme, De Haan, De Panne, Dinant, Eupen, Gent, Hasselt, Herstal, Huy, Knokke-Heist, Koksijde, Leuven, Liège, Lissewege, Maaseik, Maasland, Mechelen, Oostende, Pays de Liège, Pepinster, Seraing, Spa, Tervuren, Tongeren, Verviers, Waterloo, Welkenraedt, Wenduine, West-Vlaanderen, Zeebrugge.
Planned: Arlon, Charleroi, Ieper, Kortrijk, Mons, Namur, Tournai.

CAMERA?
Most of the pictures here were photographed with my Canon Powershot A95.

NEW PHOTOS?
Every 1-2 months.

SOME PHOTOS IN B/W !?
Bad weather = nearly colorless photos. Then I prefer black and white. I actually do not live in Brussels, so I can’t select the weather on my trips.

If I travel to Brussels for subway-photos, nearly every time the weather is not good to me... Thus all overground-photos of the Brussels subway are in b/w.

But the weather in Brussels is much better than I present it... ;)

NO DESCRIPTION OF PHOTOS?
I publish many photos, and I don’t have time for designating every picture. Searching for every building in the internet, searching for a street name on maps... No, sorry, I spend my time rather for photographing and publishing lots of photos. That is my passion.
But of course you will find the city or municipality name in the alt-tag (mouse-on-image).
If you need more information, you can contact me.
